Team Chicago and Pride Weekend!

It's been a very busy month here for Team Chicago! We shared a booth with one of our local partner groups (Windy City Performing Arts men's and women's choruses); had representation in Portland, Oregan for the NIKE LGBT Sports Summit with the Coalition to fight homophobia in Sports by 2016 with the top 100 leaders, athletes from professional, collegiate and K-12 and recreational representatives from around the Country; We then stopped into Cleveland, OH to check on the progress of the city for the 2014 Gay Games where over 11,000 participants (and 30-40,000 spectators) are expected to represent over 65+ countries. We also found out about the amazing things they are doing to prepare their City and residents for the Gay Games in 2014; The road trip continued to Columbus, OH where we help the local sporting organizations promote Gay Games at the Pride Festival and Wrestling Tournament and was glad to meet some other sports folks close to us who think LGBT inclusive participation is important!
